Member Support Team

API's Member Support Team consists of API Leaders and staff members who are prepared to answer your parenting questions! If you have a specific question about how to implement one of the Eight Principles of Attachment Parenting, please email this team.


Julie Artz
Technology Manager

Julie manages API Speaks, the blog of Attachment Parenting International, and heads up the Technology Team, which manages various technical projects within the organization.

Rita Brhel
Editor, The Journal of API

Rita is API's editor of our wonderful quarterly publication, The Journal of API. She manages various aspects of The Journal, including content, layout, and production communications.

Rita would love to hear from you if you have comments or concerns about The Journal of API or would like to submit an article for one of our upcoming issues.


Melissa Corbett
Advertising Manager

API's Advertising Manager, Melissa Corbett, is happy to speak with you about the unique opportunity to advertise with Attachment Parenting International.

Avril is the editor of API's educational and supportive monthly e-Newsletter API Links, distributed to thousands of our online readers.

Lisa Feiertag
Leader Applicant Liaison

Lisa oversees the application process for people interested in becoming API Support Group Leaders. Lisa works with leader applicants from the beginning of their process, learns more about their understanding of Attachment Parenting, level of empathy, and leadership abilities, and assists them as they complete the process of becoming support group leaders.

Blogging Liaison

Amy is a member of the Technology team and interacts with the blogging community on behalf of API.

Samantha Gray
Managing Director

Attachment Parenting International's Managing Director, Samantha Gray, works with API's staff, co-founders, and Board of Directors to ensure that our organization is continuing to meet the mission and vision of API. She also ensures that all aspects of our organization are running efficiently and effectively.

She welcomes comments and concerns about API or information that you might not be able to address with another staff member.


Melissa Hincha-Ownby
Online Forum Administrator

API's Online Forum Administrator, Melissa, manages and maintains our global online forum.

If you are having trouble accessing the forum, creating an account, or have an interesting and creative idea for generating revenue through our forum, please contact Melissa. She would enjoy chatting with you.


Brandy Lance
Office Manager/Sales

Brandy is API's Office Manager. She works with API's Managing Director and staff to help improve the professionalism and efficiency of Attachment Parenting International.

Nancy Nance
Leader Liaison

Nancy provides assistance and support to API Support Group Leaders and Resource Leaders striving to educate and support parents practicing AP throughout the world. If you are an API Leader needing assistance, please contact Nancy.


Stephanie Petters
Membership Liaison

Stephanie works to keep API's membership database current while ensuring that API Members have every opportunity to remain an active part of our organization. Stephanie also works with professionals in communities across the world who seek to educate parents about the benefits of Attachment Parenting through our professional membership and AP-friendly Professionals Program.

Marie Spadaro
Parent Education Manager

Marie, API's Parent Education Manager, is working to create Attachment Parenting International's very own state-of-the-art Parent Education curriculum. Marie has extensive experience creating curriculum-based courses, as well as experience training curriculum educators and is the source for this wonderful new branch of API.

Art Yuen
Development Coordinator

Art is API's Development Coordinator and works diligently to finds avenues of financial support for our organization. She works with a team of members devoted to the longevity of API's success and ability to continue to reach those seeking to parent with empathy and compassion.
